Collaborate with your users on new ideas.

Whether you’re testing the waters for a new product idea or need to communicate your business plans to potential investors, concept development will help you visualize the future. We center this process around users, leveraging both generative research and testing to determine how your various ideas meet their needs and your business goals. We’ll meet you at any step, from initial brainstorming to simple prototyping, to help you design your concepts with both users and stakeholders in mind.

We help answer questions like:

  • What is the range of ways we can tackle business goals?

  • What are our options for addressing user needs?

  • How is this problem being solved in the market today?

  • What do our users think of our current plans?

  • How could our multiple ideas work together?

  • What are our next steps in the design process?

FAQs about Concept Development

What is a concept?

A concept is an idea made visible via words, pictures, or prototypes. We develop concepts to give an idea enough substance so that you can communicate your vision to others without having to invest in building the product.

How can I be involved?

It’s your idea, and we want you to be involved as much as you want! We’ll work with you to brainstorm concepts and keep you in the loop as we research and test those concepts with users.

What form will the concepts take?

Concepts can take a variety of forms, ranging from a simple statement to a low fidelity prototype. Concepts should be the bare minimum required to get valuable feedback from users or stakeholders.

How are users involved?

We will either conduct user research ahead of developing concepts or run testing sessions after brainstorming, or both. User feedback is the cornerstone of this process, so we strongly recommend involving them at some point in the cycle.
