Centralis re-envisioned Costco Travel’s website to help deal-seeking travel consumers better customize their travel plans.

Through its web platform, Costco Travel offers Costco members the ability to explore and book a wide selection of travel products, including vacation packages, theme park experiences, cruises, hotel and resort accommodations and rental cars.

To improve website usability for ease and intuitive use, Costco Travel engaged Centralis to overhaul its existing web experience with an eye towards increasing conversion rates and removing booking workflow roadblocks.

The Outcome

Centralis conducted multiple rounds of research to better understand the needs of deal-seeking travel consumers. Working with the Costco Travel team, Centralis developed flexible vacation package and cruise booking templates that allow travelers to quickly and easily customize every aspect of their trip, while still maintaining maximum clarity and cost-effectiveness.

Costco Travel released the first round of updates using the new templates in late summer of 2012 as part of a multi-phased development effort to roll out the new design.
