  Lyman Casey | Kathi Kaiser


Lyman Casey, Ph.D.
Lyman Casey is a Cognitive Psychologist with 12 years' professional experience in Human-Computer Interaction and interface design.

Before founding Centralis, Lyman was Director of User Experience at Giant Step. He established the firm’s User Experience practice and built a team recognized by industry analysts as a leader in its emerging field. He played a major role in reshaping the firm’s design process to focus more attention on meeting user needs through field observation, rigorous functional design and testing.

Lyman also spent several years as a Senior Knowledge Engineer and Interface Specialist at Brightware, a developer of web-based artificial intelligence applications for many Fortune 500 companies.


     


    He began his career as a senior account management executive at the major advertising agency DMB&B, where he worked with such clients as Procter & Gamble and Kraft General Foods.

    Lyman holds a doctorate in Cognitive Psychology from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from Williams College. He lives in Evanston with his wife and children.
