LexisNexis partners with Centralis to help law students research more effectively
May 5, 2008: As part of its ongoing work with LexisNexis, the leading provider of legal information services, Centralis is helping LexisNexis better meet the needs of users when they first encounter LexisNexis products and services in law school.
Students learn the fundamentals of legal research early in their legal education, and adopt strong preferences for systems that help them complete their coursework quickly and efficiently. Centralis is helping LexisNexis attract users at this critical point in their careers by streamlining the law school user experience.
To learn more about what law students need from LexisNexis, Centralis recently conducted a series of usability testing and card sorting sessions with users from tier 1 and tier 2 law schools. This research revealed opportunities to showcase the breadth of LexisNexis’ offerings and prioritize features most appealing to students at different points in their academic careers. Centralis is working with LexisNexis to create an experience grounded in these findings, which will be implemented in a release prior to the start of the academic year.
